Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, President of the Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.), was honored to attend the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony for the “National Asset Prototype for Asset Rehabilitation for Creative Economy Project”. The landmark event was held at the historic Baan Phra Phithak, located in Trok Tuek Din along Dinso Road in Bangkok’s iconic Sao Chingcha district.

The project represents a strategic collaboration between Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited (BAM) and the Arsom Silp Institute of the Arts. The primary objective of this initiative is to utilize “Baan Phra Phithak”—a venerable building distinguished by its architectural value and deep historical ties to the Sao Chingcha area—as a prototype for the revitalization of the city’s old town districts. The operational framework emphasizes a creative economy driven by cultural capital, utilizing inclusive participatory processes from all sectors to Create Shared Value (CSV). This approach is designed to propel Thailand’s spatial, economic, and social development toward long-term sustainability.
Furthermore, a significant highlight of the event, which strongly aligns with the I.D.P. Foundation’s mission to promote mutual understanding and public participation, was a SPECIAL TALK titled “Community Perspectives on Sustainability”. The session featured an insightful exchange of ideas, welcoming the Governor of Bangkok alongside community representatives from Trok Sin and Trok Tuek Din. This activity profoundly reflects the project’s commitment to listening to community voices, ensuring that the development and rehabilitation of local assets avoid conflict and advance toward genuine, shared sustainability.
