Foundation), in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Frankfurt and the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, cordially invites Thai nationals residing in the Federal Republic of Germany and across Europe, as well as interested individuals, to join an online brainstorming and dialogue session. 📅 Date: Saturday, 7 November 2026

⏰ Time: From 09:00 CEST onwards (Germany Time) / 15:00 ICT onwards (Thailand Time)

💻 Format: Online via Zoom (Meeting link will be announced shortly)

Overview of the “Frankfurt Sandbox” Project

The Frankfurt Sandbox Project (Full title: Pilot Project on Strengthening Resilience and Harmony in Overseas Thai Communities through Peaceful Conflict Management and Dispute Mediation) is a joint public-civic partnership. Its overarching goal is to elevate consular care from reactive assistance (“helping after problems arise”) to proactive empowerment under the concept of “Preventive Consular Protection.”

Overseas Thai communities represent a rich diversity of age groups, family structures, languages, and cultural backgrounds. Occasionally, these differences can lead to misunderstandings, intra-family disputes, or community tensions. This project aims to equip overseas Thais with practical tools—including constructive communication, active listening, negotiation, and basic mediation skills—enabling them to navigate challenges, adapt effectively, and resolve conflicts peacefully. The initiative aims to establish Frankfurt as a benchmark prototype (the “Frankfurt Model”) before scaling up to Thai communities worldwide.

Why Your Input Matters

To ensure this curriculum genuinely addresses the real-world experiences and daily lives of Thais living in Europe, incorporating “authentic voices and lived experiences” from local residents is vital.

The brainstorming session on November 7 serves as an open dialogue platform for community members to share insights on adaptation challenges, local conflict dynamics, and specific topics they wish to see included in the training. The I.D.P. Foundation and expert teams will synthesize this qualitative feedback to design a targeted, practical, and impactful curriculum.

Together, let us build a resilient community grounded in active listening, mutual understanding, and harmony for Thais living abroad!
