Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, Former National Human Rights Commissioner and President of the Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.), along with the I.D.P. team, were honored as guest speakers for the “Dispute Mediation Training Program, Batch 4.” The event was organized by the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), at the Hotel and Tourism Practicum Building, Phra Nakhon Commercial Center.

Recognizing her extensive knowledge and expertise in dispute mediation and peaceful conflict resolution, the Faculty of Liberal Arts invited the I.D.P. President and her delegation to share their insights with the trainees. The onsite training emphasized practical, hands-on learning and was divided into two main sessions.
- During the morning session, Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong delivered a comprehensive lecture on “Practicing Civil, Criminal, and Public Dispute Mediation Using Prescribed Role-Play Scenarios.”
- In the afternoon, the I.D.P. team guided participants through intensive practical exercises. Trainees engaged in simulated civil and criminal dispute mediations and subsequently delivered 15-minute group presentations to summarize and reflect on the lessons learned.
The 4th batch of the Dispute Mediation Training Program was continuously held from May to June 4, 2026. The program concluded with a lesson-learned summary on police-level mediation and a standardized post-training examination administered by the Rights and Liberties Protection Department, followed by the official closing ceremony.
This collaborative effort underscores the I.D.P. Foundation’s unwavering commitment to partnering with educational institutions to promote knowledge, develop vital skills, and produce high-quality dispute mediators for society, serving as a crucial mechanism for peaceful conflict management in the future.
