The Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P. Foundation), led by Chairperson Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, participated as a guest speaker and facilitator in a training session titled “Dispute Mediation under the Mediation Act B.E. 2562 (2019)” for the first cohort of law students from the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University. The session was held at Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai.

The training aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of legal mediation procedures and enhance practical skills in negotiation and conflict resolution. Participants included students and members of the public from various sectors.

As part of the practical session, the I.D.P. Foundation introduced its proprietary Five-Step Mediation Process — a structured, inclusive, and communication-focused methodology developed to promote fairness and clarity throughout the mediation process. This framework enables all parties to articulate their underlying interests and work toward sustainable, mutually acceptable resolutions.

The event exemplifies an important collaboration between academic and practice-oriented institutions, contributing to the broader promotion of peaceful conflict resolution methods across Thai society.
