On May 24, 2025,
the Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation, led by Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, President of the Foundation, was invited by Health Regions 8 and 10 to conduct a lecture and hands-on workshop titled “Mediation in Medical and Public Health Disputes.” The training was held at Prajaktra Hotel in Udon Thani Province for personnel from local public health agencies.

The primary objective of the workshop was to build skills in peaceful conflict resolution and mediation within the context of public health services—a sector frequently confronted with disputes involving medical staff, service recipients, and patients’ families. In her closing remarks, Mrs. Prakairatana highlighted that mediation in the healthcare system not only reduces conflicts between providers and recipients but also plays a vital role in promoting understanding, trust, and restoring positive relationships—ultimately contributing to the improvement of the public health system.
The training drew significant interest from participants, including provincial health administrators, hospital directors, patient rights officers, health insurance personnel, and other related professionals. The session was intensive and engaging, featuring a full day of practical activities and constructive experience sharing.
